My name is Carolyn, and one of my favorite passions in life is crafting. I have always loved making things. When I was younger I had fun making friendship bracelets, cross stitching, stamping, making pot holders out of looms, making keychains out of colored plastic string (don't remember what its called), and making things with melty ironing beads. Most of which I did while I spent my summers at my grandparents or aunt and uncles house in WI.
I am from Menomonee Falls, WI but I grew up in Phoenix, AZ where I lived for 22 years. I met my wonderful husband there in 2009 and got married in 2010. We moved back here to WI in 2011 where most of my family currently lives. I am located in West Bend, WI. I love the change of different seasons here in WI. I have a son that is 20 yrs old. I also have a step daughter that is 26 and a step son that is 23. I have about 8 years of experience in the health care field as a medical biller and claims processor.
My dream has always been to have a job that I love. A job that I look forward to doing every day. I started out making and selling magnets in 2001 on Ebay which grew into making lots of other items using laminated sheets and adhesive foam sheets (placemats, wall decor, earrings, keychains, luggage tags, wine glass charms, coasters, photo binder clips, push pins, bookmarks, cupcake picks, mousepads, ornaments, jigsaw puzzles). I eventually made other items (cards, invitations/thank you cards, duct tape wallets/purses, labels for party favors, address labels, recipe cards, stationery, business cards, scratch off cards/tickets, stickers). I expanded my selling on sites like Etsy, ArtFire and a couple other smaller e-commerce sites.
Due to the high number of items I sold I decided to create my own online store in 2003 which was called "Shop for a Cure" as 2 close friends of mine had lost there mothers to breast cancer. I donated 50% of my sales to the Susan G Komen Foundation and I donated 10% of sales to a charity of customers choice. In 2015 my business name changed to "Custom Infinity Creations" as I started to make more higher quality items (badge reels, bookmarks, jewelry, edible images, digital images, coloring sheets, hair accessories, keychains, magnets, ornaments, party invitations/thank you cards, rear view mirror charms, recipe cards, games, valentine's day cards, wall decor signs, wine glass charms, zipper pulls).
In 2016 I took a big leap and decided to become a vendor at a local handmade store called "The Bee's Knees" in downtown West Bend, WI and a local handmade store called "Marigold Marketplace" in downtown Menomonee Falls, WI where I sold many of my items. "The Bee's Knees" changed ownership and store names a few times since then which is currently called "The WB Mercantile" and I am still a vendor there. Although I am no longer a vendor in Marigold as of April 2018, I did become a vendor in "The Local Collective" in downtown Hartford, WI. in Jan. of 2018. I really enjoy selling my items in store along with online.
My head is always full of new ideas (sometimes I can't keep up with them) which is where the "Infinity" part of my business name comes from. I always accept custom orders as well which is how I came up with my business name "Custom Infinity Creations". I specialize in high quality handmade creations. Each item is handmade in a smoke free environment. This site is still a work in progress and I have lots of items to add. If you don't see what your looking for send me an email and I will create it for you as I am always accepting custom orders, no extra charge.
